12-year-old dies at Disney wavepool
For the third time this summer, a child has collapsed at Walt Disney World in Florida.
A 12-year-old American girl fell ill by the theme park’s Typhoon Lagoon wavepool and she was rushed to the Celebration Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Tests to determine the cause of death of the 12-year-old are underway, but initial reports on the body found no signs of trauma.
It is the fourth death at Disney World this year. In June, a four-year-old boy collapsed on the four-minute Epcot Mission: Space Ride and later died in hospital.
Last month, a 16-year-old Schoolgirl from Britain suffered a brain haemorrhage and a heart attack after riding the Tower of Terror at Disney’s MGM Studios.
She is still in a critical condition and has been moved to a hospital in Britain.
