2011 launch for Saadiyat Island beach club
Abu Dhabi Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) has signed up Monte-Carlo SBM to operate a new beach club on Saadiyat Island, UAE.
Due to open in March 2011, the 36,500sq m (392,883sq ft) Monte-Carlo Beach Club Saadiyat Island will cater for residents and visitors alike. Facilities will include a private beach, a health and fitness centre and swimming pools, as well as an all-day dining restaurant and a children's area.
It will be the first venue of its kind on Saadiyat Island and will provide 'direct access' to the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club and beach. TDIC chief executive officer Lee Tabler said: "Monte-Carlo Beach Club Saadiyat Island will bring the history and style of glamorous Monte-Carlo, with its rich heritage of culture, sport and tourism, to Saadiyat as the island's unique reputation builds."
Bernard Lambert, chief executive officer of SBM - Monte-Carlo SBM's parent group, added: "I am delighted that TDIC and SBM have entered into this first phase of what we are sure will be a long and successful partnership." Image: Bernard Lambert (left) and Lee Tabler
