3d buddies boost commitment to exercise
3d Leisure says its Buddy System is showing early signs of success with a drop in attrition.
The scheme was launched in January 2005 and involves each instructor being responsible for a selection of members and taking them on their ‘journey’ in the club. This involves an induction, setting a programme, a wellness assessment and continued re-programming. The Buddy System also includes a selection of 30-minute workouts.
The company said the scheme is responsible for the 2 per cent drop in attrition calculated throughout February, March and April.
“We are delighted with early signs showing that the Buddy Scheme is working,” said Paul Ramsay, operations director for 3d Leisure.
“Our attrition rate is dropping, indicating that our customers are more committed to their exercise programmes.”
