This year, AA Hotel Services proudly celebrates its centenary, having first started to recommend and assess hotels and guest accommodation in 1908.

In celebration of its 100 years in the hospitality industry, AA Hotel Services is holding its Centenary Awards event on 2 September 2008 at Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane. Attended by world-renowned chefs and prominent hoteliers and with a range of new awards categories and high profile sponsors, a celebrity host and the latest in event entertainment, the AA Centenary Awards are set to be one of the most impressive and glamorous hospitality industry events of the year.

The gourmet meal for this event will be prepared in conjunction with the Grosvenor House kitchen team by five of the AA's leading five rosette chefs: • Tom Aikens, owner of the acclaimed Tom Aikens Restaurant in Chelsea; Tom's Kitchen; and the newly opened fish restaurant Tom's Place.

• Raymond Blanc, owner of the hotel and restaurant Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons, synonymous with all that is finest in dining and hospitality. • David Nicholls, former Executive Chef at Foliage and now Corporate Director of Food and Beverage for the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

• Chris Staines, Head Chef at Foliage, noted for his exciting seasonal menus and modern European style of cooking. • Marcus Wareing, Chef Patron of Pétrus and author of the cookbooks 'How to Cook the Perfect...' and 'One Perfect Ingredient'.
