ACE reveals 'key' museums appointments
Arts Council England (ACE) has announced a number of "key" appointments ahead of the launch of its new integrated structure due to come into effect from 1 October.
Hedley Swain - the director of programme delivery at the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) - has been named as the director of museums and Renaissance at ACE. MLA programme manager, sector improvement Nicola Morgan is the new libraries director at ACE, while Charlotte Johns will become director of museums and investment.
The appointments will be effective from 1 October as the arts funding agency assumes the key functions and responsibilities of the MLA, which is to be closed by the government. ACE chief executive Alan Davey said: "These appointments are great news for the Arts Council and for the museums and libraries sectors.
"Based on their experience at MLA and elsewhere, Hedley, Nicola and Charlotte will bring a wealth of expertise and creative thinking to their new roles."
