AEG announces Michael Jackson refund policy
AEG Live, the promoter behind a series of Michael Jackson concerts scheduled to begin in July, has announced details of its refund policy following the performer's death on 25 June.
The company said that full refunds - including all ticket service charges - will be made available to Jackson fans who purchased tickets for the 50 planned concerts at London's O2 arena. However, AEG Live is also offering fans the option to receive the actual tickets, rather than a full refund, which have been specially designed and printed to provide fans with a souvenir to commemorate the music legend's death.
AEG Live president and CEO, Randy Phillips, said: "The world lost a kind soul who just happened to be the greatest entertainer the world has ever known. Since he loved his fans in life, it is incumbent upon us to treat them with the same reverence and respect after his death." The special tickets will only be available to those who have already purchased tickets until 14 August. Full refunds will be made available from 1 July.
