AFC Hornchurch enters administration
AFC Hornchurch has confirmed that it has gone into administration after running into financial difficulties, five years after it was formed following the collapse of Hornchurch Football Club.
According to the BBC, the Essex-based Ryman Premier Division outfit hopes that the decision to enter administration will provide enough time for a buyer to come forward and safeguard the club's future. The club, which narrowly missed out on the playoffs during the 2008-09 season, is now expected to start the 2009-10 campaign with a 10 point deduction.
