Abbeycroft Leisure has teamed up with award-winning Liberté Fitness to offer popular outside exercise classes to its members.

Liberté Fitness was set up in Bury St Edmunds in 2009 by Papillon Luck. While on holiday in Australia, Papillon had the idea of Liberté Fitness whilst watching people exercising in groups on Bondi Beach. When she returned to the UK, 'The Fitness Revolution' was born and she turned her attention to making it everything that the gym is not.

The classes, run by qualified personal trainers, take place at Nowton Park in Bury St Edmunds in all weathers and all year round. Members can often be seen training with head torches and glow sticks in the winter months. Liberté Fitness recently won the First for Diet and Fitness Award and the First for Customer Service Award at the annual Velvet Magazine Awards, beating off competition from boot camps and other fitness classes across East Anglia. The company also runs classes in Newmarket and Norwich Members of Bury St Edmunds Leisure Centre, run by Abbeycroft, can take part in the Liberte Fitness classes with a 55 per cent reduction.

Matt Hickey, Abbeycroft's Fitness Manager, said: "We are excited, Liberté Fitness is a unique approach to health and fitness and we want to offer this to our members. We recognise that not everyone wants to exercise indoors all the time and working with Liberté we will be offering our members access to their popular outdoor classes at a reduced rate."

Papillon Luck, owner of Liberté Fitness, said: "We're passionate about outdoor fitness and we're looking forward to showcasing our award winning fitness classes to those who normally train indoors. The benefits to training outside with us are immense. We use no equipment, just our bodyweight and each other. We've got a loyal following and we're looking forward to welcoming Abbeycroft members and offering them the chance to supplement their normal indoor training regime with a new tried and tested sociable and fun technique. Everyone's entitled to a free trial so come and join us in Nowton Park and see just how much fun doing it outside really is."
