Academy Spa sells Holmes Place sites to concentrate on own spas

Mark Silver, president of the Academy Spa Group, announced at the Professional Spa convention in London that the company has sold the last of its Academy Spa operations within Holmes Place health clubs.

Silver said: 'After a review of the business and its future direction, we have decided to concentrate on the development of our own spas, namely the Academy Spa in Harrogate and the Shiseido Spa at Le Mas Candille and move away from concession operations.'

Academy Spas at sites in Holmes Place Health Clubs have been taken over by Serve and Holmes Place Health Clubs and Academy Spa Management will be going into company voluntary administration.
