Accor restructures European hotel network
From the beginning of January, French hotel giant, Accor, will introduce a brand-based organisation of its European operations.
The new organisation concerns activities in 15 countries in Europe across eight brands: Pullman, MGallery, Mercure, Novotel, Suite Novotel, ibis, ibis Styles and ibis budget.
A chief operating office Europe will head each brand, with a support team reporting to him, which has a expertise in key areas such as marketing, human resources, management control and technical standards.
The structure is divided into four regions: Northern Europe, Southern Europe, Central Europe and France with a brand SVP for each region.
“This organisation struture will enable us to develop first rate specialists in each market segment and rely on teams that are entirely focused on their brands and have perfect knowledge of their customers and their competitors,” says Yann Calliere, president and chief operating officer in charge of worldwide operations.
