Accor unveils South Seas resorts
Hotel and resort group Accor has created four resorts in French Polynesia within the South Seas under the Sofitel brand.
The Sofitel Moorea Beach Resort in Maharepa includes a Le Spa facility which overlooks the bay and beach.
The newly-refurbished Sofitel Tahiti Resort near Papeete on the west coast of Tahiti has a total of 216 guestrooms, all boasting private balcony gardens. Other facilities include a fresh water swimming pool and private beach.
The Sofitel Bora Bora Beach Resort is situated on a private beach at Matira Bay and was originally built for director Dino Laurentis’ 1977 film ‘Hurricane’.
There are 64 bungalows and a further 21 over-water bungalows serving as accommodation at the resort, which also has a day spa and an infinity-edge swimming pool overlooking the ocean.
The revamped Sofitel Motu Bora Bora, located on its own private island, offers a small range of spa therapies and has 31 bungalows.
