Additional £2.2m for Creative Scotland's experiences programme
The Scottish Government and Creative Scotland have announced a further £2.2m of funding to enable an extra 24 projects to receive support through the First in a Lifetime programme.
The scheme - part of the wider Year of Creative Scotland 2012 - aims to create opportunities for people to participate in arts and cultural activities throughout the country.
Scottish culture secretary Fiona Hyslop said: "People and visitors in every corner of Scotland are being encouraged to see, experience and contribute to our rich, vibrant culture."
The funding announcement has taken the total investment in the Year of Creative Scotland to nearly £8m.
