Alexandra Palace to build on its live events marketing
Alexandra Palace has announced that Deborah King has been appointed as live events manager.
Deborah joins the venue from Archant and has previously also worked at Bastise as an event director.
She said: “Alexandra Palace is going from strength to strength with some exciting recent bookings. From a sales point of view, I’m really looking forward to using the upcoming events as a showcasing opportunity for the venue.”
Throughout this year, sales and marketing teams at the venue intend to continue to build on its appeal to live event bookers and, with King’s appointment, there will also be a restructuring of both teams.
Last year, the venue hosted a number of live event bookings that included high-profile bands such as The Strokes, The White Stripes and Travis alongside BBC’s Question Time and a major Herbal Life convention.
Head of sales and marketing, Chris Gothard, said: “2004 continues to gather momentum in terms of event bookings. Through Deborah’s appointment, we are now able to restructure our team to offer specific live event expertise when needed.”
