Alexandra Palace to host Masters Snooker
London's Alexandra Palace has been named as the new host venue for the Masters Snooker tournament, which is due to take place between 15-22 January 2012.
The event comprises the world's top 16 snooker players and was formerly held at Wembley Arena before relocating to the north London complex. World Snooker chair Barry Hearn said: "The Alexandra Palace is an absolutely fantastic venue, as we've found by staging the World Darts Championship there.
"We've seen record ticket sales for the darts and I'm expecting to see the same for the snooker."
