Ambitious plans for Strata Partners in 2008
Russian fitness centre operator Strata Partners has unveiled its plans for 2008. The company is working on 15 new projects, with 10 of these planned to open this year.
During February and March, four new City Fitness clubs – the company’s mass market offering – will open in Moscow and the surrounding region.
Two further City Fitness clubs will open in Zelenograd, the northern suburb of Moscow. One of these will offer both fitness and racquet sports, including five tennis courts – a response to the growing demand for lawn tennis facilities in Russia – and squash. Strata Partners already operates 10 clubs with tennis courts.
A new premium Orange Fitness club will open in the centre of Moscow this summer, while City Fitness will launch in St Petersburg – which already has an Orange Fitness club – in 2008. Clubs will also open in other Russian cities, including Novokuznetsk (Siberia), and abroad in Kazakhstan and Armenia.
