Amsterdam Dungeon set for September opening
Work has begun on the new Amsterdam Dungeon attraction.
P&P Projects will be responsible for overall design and theming of the site and have devised an attraction which depicts the more ghoulish side of Amsterdam’s history – such as the plague and torments – via live theatre, a ghostly labyrinth and a variety of multi-media techniques.
The dungeon, which opens in September 2005, will also house the only indoor mini rollercoaster in Amsterdam. The site will be operated by Merlin Entertainments, which was recently acquired by Blackstone Group as part of a £102.5m deal. Details: www.merlinentertainments.biz
