Anantara Hotels and Resorts, the luxury hotel brand by Minor Hotels, will host its first Technogym wellness retreat between 20-23 November at the Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel in Italy.

In a converted 13th Century Capuchin monastery set into the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, the 52-suite hotel will offer guests access to a range of Technogym equipment and workshops will be led by two Technogym Master Trainers.

Guests will receive personal wellness assessments, take part in guided movement and breathwork sessions, workshops on how to integrate healthy lifestyle habits and experience nourishing dining experiences.

The programme

The Technogym Checkup AI-driven assessment station will be in operation, providing guests with targeted training programmes based on an evaluation of physical and mental parameters. Technogym Visio, the gym display system for unsupervised workouts, will also be on offer.

A spokesperson for Minor Hotels told Spa Business, “The Checkup station is relatively new, and we are exploring how best to integrate it into our properties; particularly those with larger wellness or membership components, where it can add the most value. We have already begun implementing the Visio across several of our hotels.”

“Technogym offers a wide range of connected equipment that forms part of its broader digital wellness ecosystem,” the spokesperson continued. “This ecosystem ensures that wellness experiences are not limited to the retreat itself but can be extended throughout the property and even into guests’ daily lives.”

The Technogym Master Trainers will lead five movement sessions, from yoga to functional training and breath-led stretching.

The trainers will also lead three wellness workshops:

• How to begin your wellness path• Planning for longevity

• Enhance deep breath

Guests will also have the opportunity to take a cooking class led by the property’s executive chef Claudio Lanuto. This will be a chance to sample some of the nutrition-rich ingredients from the Campania region.

The price of the retreat starts at €3,000 per person (US$3,485, £2,586 GBP).

Existing partnership

Minor Hotels and Technogym have an ongoing partnership across several initiatives. In July, for example, Anantara Hotels and Resorts launched an exclusive in-room wellness video series. This series was developed by Technogym for Anantara’s luxury guests, to be suitable for hotel environments.

The spokesperson for Minor Hotels said, “This retreat marks a natural extension of our collaboration, bringing together luxury hospitality and wellness in a way that aligns with both brands’ commitment to innovation and guest wellbeing.”

Bodina Qureshi, director of spa and wellness luxury hotels Europe and Americas at Minor Hotels, told Spa Business, “This retreat represents a meaningful step forward in our commitment to wellness as a core pillar of the Anantara and wider Minor Hotels experience.

“Wellness in hospitality now spans a wide and evolving spectrum from fitness and nutrition to mental wellbeing, recovery and digital engagement,” Qureshi added. “Our partnership with Technogym helps us navigate this complexity with clarity and confidence. Ultimately, it’s about creating deeper value for our guests and positioning our hotels as leaders in luxury wellness.”
