Anantara The Palm Resort & Spa to open in September
Thailand-based Minor Hotels Group is to open its first Anantara-branded property in Dubai on 15 September.
Owned by Dubai-based Seven Tides Hospitality, the Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa is located on the regions famous hospitality hub The Palm Jumeirah.
The resort is inspired by traditional Thai architecture in an Arabian setting and will house 260 room with direct access to the lagoon, 12 beach pool villas, 18 over water villas and three two-bedroom villas.
The resorts Anantara Spa will be open November this year aims to offer guests an "Asian inspired sanctuary blending Thai tradition with Arabian mystique".
The spa will house 10 treatment rooms offering massages inspired by age-old techniques, replenishing scrubs and wraps, facials and full-body treatments.
Facilities will include relaxation areas, European style wet facilities, dry flotation beds, heated ayurvedic tables, private hammam suites and traditional Thai massage suite.
There will also be a male and female salon, nail spa and a fitness centre.
Signature treatment the 90-minute Traditional Thai Massage. The technique used, passed down through the generations, is known to many as ‘passive yoga’ and offers a full body workout. It involves a shower, floral foot ritual, traditional Thai massage and refreshments.
Another highlight on the spa menu is the 90/60-minute Arabian Massage. It incorporates pressure point work throughout the body using palm and elbow pressure to stimulate blood circulation, release muscle tension and enhance the body’s energy levels.
Other leisure amenities at the resort will include an infinity swimming pool, three lagoon pools and spa pools.
