Animal park opens safari lodge
Port Lympne Wild Animal Park will introduce overnight accommodation within the park this month, when it opens the Livingstone Safari Lodge on 30 April.
The replica safari lodge includes ten luxury tents nestled on plinths, each with its own private balcony overlooking the animal park.
Guests booking a night at the lodge will also receive a 90-minute private safari ride up to the tents, which are located at the African Experience area, adjacent to main Port Lympne site.
The 100-acre area offers guests the chance to see animals roam free around and underneath the lodgings.
The 400-acre Port Lympne Wild Animal Park and Gardens is located in Hythe, near Ashford, Kent.
The attraction opened in 1976 as Port Lympne Zoo and is owned and operated by the John Aspinall Foundation.
