Animation City launched in China
A new theme park called Chinese Animation and Game City is being built at a former 83-hectare steelworks site in Beijing, China.
According to People's Daily, the Beijing government is investing an annual 100 million yuan (£8.9m, 9.6m euro, US$14.7m) into the 50 billion yuan (£4.45bn, 4.9bn euro, US$7.3bn) project.
The attraction will also accommodate a hotel and a residential area, a trade management centre, a research and production centre and a business sector.
Online game companies rumoured to be interested in the new attraction include Sohugame, Linekong, Netease, Tencent and Giant.
