A spa is set to open at the £150m Aphrodite Hills development, in the spring next year – and will be followed in the summer by the opening of the 290-bedroom InterContinental Aphrodite Hills Resort Cyprus.

The Aphrodite Hills Spa will offer treatment rooms, saunas, steamrooms and exotic hot and cold rooms located around an inner courtyard running through a building which has a monastic architectural style.

There is also a sundeck with Jacuzzi temple and water loungers adjacent to the swimming pool, which is close to the cliff edge overlooking the Mediterranean.

The spa also includes a 1,507sq ft gym, which has already opened.

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts will manage the £38m hotel resort due to open in the summer and set in 270 hectares with an 18-hole golf course, health spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and tennis courts.
