Appeal for Roald Dahl Museum
An appeal has been set up by Roald Dahl's widow, Felicity, in an attempt to raise funds for a museum in the author's name in Buckinghamshire. The centre will be named as the Roald Dahl Museum and Literary Centre and will house the complete Roald Dahl archive, including early manuscripts and letters. Mrs Dahl told the BBC I want to show something about the man behind the works. He was interested in so many fields, from invention to nature to gardening and these archives are quite wonderful. Roald Dahl died in 1990 at the age of 74. More than one million copies of his books are sold in the UK every year.
