Applications open for Mary Tabacchi Scholarship
The International Spa Association (ISPA) Foundation has announced that students can now submit their applications for consideration for the Mary Tabacchi Scholarship.
Named in honour of the spa industry pioneer and Cornell University Associate Professor, Mary H Tabacchi, the scholarship is part of a newly established endowment fund created to provide a permanent resource for the growth of the international spa industry.
The recipient of the scholarship will be announced in May and will receive US$2,500 towards their education, as well as registration, airfare and hotel accommodation to attend the 2008 ISPA Conference and Expo in Las Vegas, US.
ISPA Foundation President Edwin Neill III said: "This scholarship will help us fulfill our ultimate goal of furthering the industry through education and research."
Dr Tabacchi added: "Tomorrow's leaders are today's dynamic, passionate and educated young students. The future of the spa community belongs to and depends upon these students."
