April opening for California’s Legoland Hotel
Legoland has announced it will open its first US hotel on 5 April 2013 at its Californian resort.
The three-storey hotel will feature interactive Lego décor and includes a pool and lounge area, patio, event space and buffet restaurant.
Located at the main entrance to Legoland California guests receive early admission to the park with their stay and children’s entertainment is provided each night.
Rooms, which are kingdom, pirate or adventure themed, include a separate room for parents, children’s bunks and trundle beds and complimentary Lego gift for every child.
Around the hotel guests will find exploding toy boxes, treasure trails and disco-themed elevators with mirror balls and flashing lights.
Initially scheduled to launch in summer 2013, the hotel will open ahead of schedule.
Legoland California, owned by Merlin Entertainment, is set in 128 acres and is targeted at children aged two through 12.
It has more than 60 rides, shows and attractions, and also includes the Sea Life Carlsbad Aquarium and Legoland Waterpark.
