Aquaterra to launch Wheelchair Tennis in Islington
Aquaterra is thrilled and delighted to announce that the popular sport of Wheelchair Tennis will be launching at the Islington Tennis Centre on 15 September, offering Londoners opportunities to play recreationally or competitively with experienced coaches.
The sessions – run in partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association - are suitable for all abilities and ages and enable players to develop their game. Sports wheelchairs and all equipment is provided.
Wheelchair Tennis is played by athletes in over 100 countries worldwide and is similar to the version played at the Olympics.
Sessions take place on Sundays 2 - 4pm. The centre is fully accessible for wheelchair users.
Rob Achille, Tennis Development Officer at Aquaterra said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to play tennis in a safe and friendly environment, with all the latest equipment and dedicated, trained coaches."
