Aquatic ride for New York's Battery
New York's Battery Conservancy has just celebrated the topping off of its latest attraction, the SeaGlass nautilus shell structure.
An aquatic-themed ride, SeaGlass is a carousel inspired by the Battery's history as the first home of the New York Aquarium.
Designed by George Tyspin Opera Factory, the SeaGlass is a blue-ringed angelfish. Fiber optic and LED lights glow from within the fish, which will transform into an array of colours during the ride. An enchanting ocean soundtrack also plays as the figures move up and down, as if swimming in the sea. Guests sit inside the fish which glide through the sights and sounds of a 360 degree aquatic adventure.
