Armani hotel and spa opens in Dubai
The Armani Hotel Dubai in the UAE - the first hotel developed as a result of a collaboration between fashion designer Giorgio Armani SpA and Emaar Properties PJSC - has opened.
Occupying floors concourse to eight and levels 38 and 39 within the US$1.6bn (£1.05bn, 1.21bn euro) Burj Khalifa tower - the world's tallest building - the hotel offers 160 guest rooms and suites and eight restaurants.
Facilities include a 430,556sq ft (40,000sq m) spa; a haute couture boutique called Armani/Galleria; Armani/Dolci, a confectionery; and Armani/Fiori, a florists.
Complementing the hotel and located on levels 9 to 16 of Burj Khalifa are Armani Residences, featuring 144 private apartments.
The Armani Hotel Dubai is the first in a collection of hotels, resorts and residences which will be unveiled across the world over the next 10 years as part of the collaboration between Armani and Emaar Properties PJSC.
