Artists awarded Cultural Olympiad funding
Artists across the UK are to receive a share of more than £820,000 of National Lottery funding as part of Unlimited, a Cultural Olympiad programme.
London 2012, the British Council and the UK arts councils have agreed to distribute the grants as part of the scheme, which is targeted at work by disabled and deaf artists. A total of 13 new commissions will benefit from the cash and will see works take place across the UK, as well as encouraging collaborations with foreign artists.
Cultural Olympiad minister Ed Vaizey said: "This exciting new series of commissions from talented disabled and deaf artists captures some of the key values of the 2012 Games." Image: Second Time Broken – Remix Dance Company
