Arts Council England announces four new In Harmony projects
Arts Council England (ACE) has announced the successful applicants for four In Harmony projects, which will help young people from all backgrounds engage in cultural activities.
The initiatives are to be delivered by The Sage Gateshead, Opera North, Telford and Wrekin Music and Nottingham City Council between 2012 and 2015 following the announcement.
Meanwhile, Sadler's Wells has been chosen to form a new National Youth Dance Company. Both elements are jointly funded by ACE and the Department for Education.
The successful applicants will also take forward some of the recommendations outlined in the National Plan for Music Education and the recent Henley review of Cultural Education.
