Arts Council announces regional funding
Artists and arts organisations are to receive Lottery funding in Yorkshire and across North West England through two of Arts Council England's (ACE) regional offices.
ACE Yorkshire has announced that 37 projects will receive a share of more than £647,000, while ACE North West has invested more than £211,500 in a total of nine projects since 16 January. Among some of the funding awarded by ACE North West was £76,000 grant to the PRS Foundation, an initiative designed to twin individual music producers with high-profile partners across the region, such as the Manchester International Festival and The Tate.
The north west office also awarded £60,000 to the Alsager Arts Centre to support a relocation and expansion project over the next three years, which will see the centre move to new facilities at the Manchester Metropolitan University campus in Crewe. Aileen McEvoy, interim executive director for ACE North West, said: "Our lottery investment in the region helps to get great art to everyone. it supports artists and arts organisations in bringing new and exciting art to new people."
