Ascot officially reopens
The Queen officially reopened Ascot racecourse at the Royal Meeting on 20 June, following a two-year, £200m redevelopment.
The racecourse already opened to a restricted crowd of 11,000 on 27 May with the new grandstand, designed by HOK Sport Architecture, which can hold up 80,000 spectators.
The track has also been redesigned and the parade ring has moved to the centre of the site.
The Royal Meeting will run from 20 June, until 24 June. Details: www.royalascot.co.uk
