Our concept is about progress, not perfection – and about opening ourselves to joy

Auberge Collection has announced a new concept called The Joy of Wellbeing, with unique activations at each property.

The brand’s new joyful wellness philosophy is built around the pillars of Awe, Connect, Excel and Nurture. The vision is based on the belief that wellbeing involves meaningful connection, emotional richness and the freedom to feel good.

Auberge also points to studies that show joy releases feel-good neurochemicals, lowers stress hormones and may even boost longevity.

Christian Clerc, president and CEO, Auberge Collection, said: “Joy fuels our best days and creates the emotional texture that gives life meaning. It’s what drives connection, vitality and presence – and it shapes every experience across Auberge Collection’s destinations – from the way guests move, rest and connect, to how they eat, play and rediscover what it means to feel truly joyful.”

Vivianne Garcia-Tunon, VP of wellbeing, Auberge Collection, said: “With The Joy of Wellbeing, we’re reclaiming something essential: the presence, vitality, and soul that make us human. Our concept is about progress, not perfection – and about opening ourselves to joy. Our goal is to create space for people to connect deeply and rediscover the simple wonders that make life truly meaningful, way beyond their stay.”

Programming

The concept will be brought to life at each of Auberge Collection’s properties in the following ways.

• Awe – Encounters with beauty and nature will be used to instil guests with a sense of awe.

• Connect – The Collection will provide opportunities for guests to connect through shared meals, storytelling and hands-on craft experiences.• Excel – Movement sessions will provide challenges and inspire growth to allow guests to unlock their full potential.

• Nurture – Guests will be provided with ways to care for themselves with intention.

Treatment menus have been developed at different properties to reflect their unique environments, traditions and the energy of each destination.

Retreats and residencies

Celebrities such as US-based fitness star Amanda Kloots and spiritual self-help author Gabby Bernstein will support the new programming at select locations as masters in residence.

Bernstein has curated a series of exclusive Joy Experiences that will be offered at all Auberge Collection properties, focused on emotional wellbeing.

Before, during and after their stay, guests can join Bernstein’s coaching and meditation app for a seven-day custom content series called Joy Challenge that includes guided affirmations, connection rituals and exercises for cultivating more joy.

Bernstein and Auberge have also created a range of rituals, for example, a pre-treatment ritual and a turndown ritual with guided breathing mantras.

She will also host in-person talks and retreats, including a three-day programme at The Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Collection in Park City, Utah, US, between 30 April and 3 May 2026. This will incorporate spiritual lessons, meditations, movement sessions and emotional healing practices.

This package starts at US$3,900 (€3,371, £2,919) per guest for double occupancy and US$5,000 (€4,322, £3,740) for single occupancy.

Fitness personality, former Broadway dancer and celebrity trainer Amanda Kloots will bring joy to her cardio and strength workouts during several retreats across the Auberge portfolio.

Her first activation will take place at Chileno Bay Resort and Residences, Auberge Collection, in Los Cabos, Mexico, between 29 November and 2 December.

Kloots will lead her signature AK Body sessions in a class format. The 50-minute sessions will offer an easy-to-follow mixture of dance cardio and toning moves. Longer sequences allow guests to connect their minds to the movement.

In terms of nutrition and joy, high protein, high fibre food will provide daily celebrations of connection, culture and care at each destination. Celebrity nutritionist Shira Barlow has designed nourishing meals to-go, allowing guests to take the Auberge experience home with them.
