Australian Outback Spectacular opens new Light Horse show
The Australian Outback Spectacular on Australia's Gold Coast has opened a new dinner show this month, 'Heroes of the Light Horse'.
Since opening in April 2006, Australian Outback Spectacular has entertained more than a million people with its celebration of Australian stockmen and women and demonstrations of their riding skills.
The new show will celebrate the link between stockmen and the legendary Australian Light Horse.
The Light Horse was made up predominantly by 'boys from the bush' - young men from the outback who volunteered along with their horses to join the Australian Mounted Infantry, known as the Light Horse.
