Aveda and myhotels to open mycafé Aveda

London-based boutique hotel group, myhotels, has teamed up with Aveda to open the first mycafé Aveda Covent Garden at the Aveda Institute in High Holborn, London.

The institute is home to the Aveda Environmental Lifestyle Store, Urban Retreat and the London Hair Academy, and its plant and flower-based products have always been available in myhotel guest rooms.

The interior of the café has been designed by Project Orange – the company which designed the interiors of myhotel Chelsea – and is inspired by ‘modern, urban Tokyo’.

The menu has been created by food consultancy, Company of Cooks, and uses predominantly organic ingredients.

Aveda and myhotel will also be working together during 2004 to create packages of accommodation and wellbeing treatments at myhotels combined with therapies and beauty programmes at the Aveda Institute.

Two new myhotels, in Brighton and Paddington Square, are due for completion in 2005.
