Aveda expands into Western Japan
US-based holistic hair and skin products manufacturer Aveda has opened its second Japanese Lifestyle Spa in Osaka.
Located in the centre of the shopping district in Osaka, the new site will serve as the group’s base for the further expansion of its business and network of salons in western Japan. It follows the launch of its Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, spa.
The Shinsaibashi site features a spa, a salon and a healthy café.
Sustainable elements include recycled glass pebbles in the showers, walls filled with soil sourced locally in Juraku and reclaimed wood from a demolished sake warehouse.
Since it entered the market in 2003, Aveda has opened more than 100 salons in eastern Japan.
