Aveda spa opens on Lake Garda
A 2.5m euro (£1.7m, US$3.2m) Aveda destination spa has opened at the luxury Grand Hotel Fasano on Lake Garda, Italy.
Covering 1,000sq m (10,760sq ft) interior space and 300sq m (3,300sq ft) exterior space, the Aqua Spa boasts four treatment rooms plus a gym, a solarium, a hair and make-up area and welcome area.
The spa, designed by Patrick and Olliver Mayr, will also offer an indoor and outdoor pool as well as two spa pools, a sauna, vitarium, hammam, tepidarium, relaxing zones, chromo- and aromatherapy showers and a Kneipp circuit.
Focusing on the natural elements of air, fire, water, earth and infinity, Aqua Spa treatments will include facials, reflexology, classic and oriental massages, Shiatsu and manicures and pedicures.
The Grand Hotel Fasano was originally the site of a hunting lodge belonging to the Austrian imperial family in the 19th century. Surrounded by water and hills, the hotel has 12,000sq m (130,000sq ft) of private parkland surrounding the property. Details: www.aveda.com
