Aviemore Highland Resort opens
The £30m, 307-room Aviemore Highland Resort development, managed by Macdonald Hotels and Resorts, has opened within the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland.
Accommodation at the Aviemore resort is split between the Highland hotel, which boasts 152 bedrooms; the 94-bedroom Academy hotel; and the Macdonald Highland Lodges, with a further 161 rooms.
Leisure facilities include a Vital Spa with Decléor products, a gym equipped by Technogym, a swimming pool with a beach and wave machine and a beauty centre.
A conference centre is also due to open at the resort in October which will feature an auditorium for up to 650 delegates in fixed ranked seating, a 1.000sq m exhibition hall and a ballroom suite.
Other activities on offer at the resort include pony trekking, skiing, fishing, quad biking, safari touring and clay pigeon shooting.
