BBC to create Dinosaur theme park ride
The BBC has entered into a partnership with Hyper Entertainment to create a theme park ride based on its successful Walking with Dinosaurs series. The attraction, currently in production, will be licensed to existing theme park operators worldwide and will feature a thrilling 'real life' dinosaur experience, followed by an interactive post-ride show. The partnership, a first for the BBC, is led by its commercial arm, BBC Worldwide and Hyper Entertainment, formerly the Sony Development Corporation and operator of 24 Hyper Bowl attractions in the US, Canada and Japan. Director of global marketing at BBC Worldwide, Kevin Harrington said: Their investment in the project and experience in the market, combined with our brand equity will ensure the success of the venture. The ride will launch in autumn 2002.
