BCC continues £6m investment project
Belfast City Council (BCC) has recently refurbished the fitness suites at the Shankhill and Anderstown leisure centres, as part of a £6m upgrade of its leisure facilities.
The council is halfway through a refurbishment project of eight leisure centres, including a £1m investment in its gyms which are being kitted out by Pulse.
The next sites due for completion are the Avoniel and Ballyfillan leisure centres, both due to open in May.
In 2007, in partnership with the local health trust, BCC is to launch the Grove Wellbeing Centre, which will offer healthcare and leisure facilities along with a library. Details: www.belfastcity.gov.uk
