BFI IMAX scoops Superman 3D exclusive
The British Film Institute’s London IMAX theatre will be the only cinema in the UK to show part of the new Superman Returns film in 3D.
Four sequences, totalling around 20 minutes of the film, have been selected by the filmmaker for the 3D treatment – including Superman saving citizens from imminent disaster and a spectacular flying scene. It will be shown at the London IMAX from 14 July.
Director of Superman Returns, Brian Singer, said: “The test scenes which have been converted into IMAX 3D look, sound and feel absolutely amazing. The magic of IMAX 3D will envelop audiences in this story, enabling them to feel the emotion, drama and suspense in a completely new and unique way.” Details: www.bfi.org.uk
