BH Live chief executive officer Peter Gunn has been named as the new vice chair of sporta - the organisation which represents more than 900 leisure facilities across the UK.
The appointment was announced at the sporta AGM in Manchester following Jon Argent's decision to step down due to work commitments, while also studying for a doctorate.
Gunn said: "The opportunity to help influence the agenda in terms of the benefits of the trust model for delivering quality culture and leisure services is an exciting one for me."
BH Live is the trust responsible for managing leisure and cultural facilities in Bournemouth.
