BHA members lead César Award winners
Hart’s Hotel has received the César Award for the 2007 City Hotel of the Year, it has been announced.
Issued by the Good Hotel Guide for the British Isles, the César awards are given each year to one outstanding hotel for each of several categories.
Paul Fearon, general manager for Hart’s Hotel, said “It’s great for Hart’s and it’s great for Nottingham.”
The César Award builds on a year of success for the establishment, as Hart’s Restaurant was named Restaurant of the Year 2006 at the Nottinghamshire Restaurant Awards in June.
Hart’s Hotel also recently hosted the British Hospitality Association’s (BHA) first East Midlands Members’ Day, where over 40 hoteliers and restaurateurs from the region gathered for an informal morning conference and networking lunch.
Another BHA member, The Combe House Hotel at Gittisham, has also been named at 2007 Country Hotel of the Year in the Cesar awards.
Owner Ken Hunt said, “This unexpected honour reflects the myriad of lovely people who come and stay with us and the wonderful, happy and hard working team whom we regard as our family.”
Combe House has previously won numerous hotel and dining awards including Taste of the West South West Restaurant of the Year in 2005.
