BHA members lead winners at Best Places to Work in Hospitality Awards
A number of British Hospitality Association (BHA) members have received accolades at Caterer & Hotelkeeper’s inaugural Best Places to Work in Hospitality Awards.
La Tasca Restaurants enjoyed the most success on the night, claiming the overall ‘winner of winners’ Platinum Award after winning in the restaurant chain with 11 or more sites category.
The panel of judges, which included BHA chief executive Bob Cotton, agreed that La Tasca staff created a good atmosphere and a ‘wow’ factor in their restaurants, and that the company has a fun and casual but disciplined service delivery.
Simon Sanderson and Gavin Wetton, operations manager and human resources manager respectively at the restaurant chain, were presented with their award by Caterer Group editor Mark Lewis and managing director of awards sponsor Lister Charles, Mark Sykes.
Gavin Wetton said, “The culture in our business is now really people-focused and operations-driven. Successful restaurants are operated by successful and well-incentivised people and consistency is achieved through stability.”
Other BHA members also won in the following categories:
• Hotels with 1-10 sites – Four Seasons Hotels • Hotels with 11 or more sites – Radisson Edwardian Hotels
• Fresh Faces Graduate Recruiter Award – Paramount Hotels • Contract Catering Employers – Brrokwood Partnership
• Hospitality Supplier Award – 3663 First for Foodservice
