BOA chair re-elected
Craig Reedie has been re-elected as chair of the British Olympic Association (BOA).
David Hemery, the former president of UK Athletics, was elected as vice chair alongside the existing vice chair, Albert Woods, who was also re-elected.
Initially elected to the BOA in 1992, Reedie had intended to stand down this year but was asked to reconsider his position by the government and senior IOC in order to further strengthen London’s bid for the 2012 Olympic Games.
Speaking about his re-election, Reedie said: “It has been an honour to be chair of the BOA for all these years. I look forward to working with vigour in the run up to the IOC’s decision in July.” Details: www.olympics.org.uk
