BT workers lose weight online
The BT Work Fit Campaign – delivered in partnership with the Men’s Health Forum (MHF) – has resulted in 4,400 employees losing a total of 10 tonnes of weight over a four-month period.
The programme gave participants the option of taking part as individuals or as members of teams which competed against each other online.
Individuals were sent weekly activity programmes and tips on healthy eating.
A Work Fit intranet site also included access to lifestyle advice from nurses.
The MHF is planning to roll out similar programmes with other companies. Details: www.menshealthforum.org.uk
