Baker to join Virgin Active?
Former Boots chief executive Richard Baker could be named chair of health club operator Virgin within weeks, it has been reported.
According to The Sunday Times, the appointment of Baker, who resigned from his Boots role after a private equity takeover in 2007, could be the first stage of Virgin boss Richard Branson’s plans to take Virgin Active public.
Virgin Active currently owns and operates 169 clubs around the world – 71 of which are in the UK.
