Award-winning restaurant, Bank Aldwych, will reopen tomorrow (Friday 23 April) following a refurbishment by designers, Conran & Partners.

Managing director of Bank Restaurant Group, Christian Delteil, which owns the site, said: “I felt that as well as regular maintenance work we should take the opportunity to up-date the atmosphere and reinvigorate some of the original design features of the room.”

Changes have been made to lighting and colour and some of the stainless steel finishes have been replaced with stained timber. A breakfast seating area has also been added next to the main reception.

A new menu devised by Delteil and head chef, Peter Lloyd, will also be unveiled tomorrow.

Bank Aldwych first opened in 1996 and has welcomed more than 1.2 million customers in the past eight years. Bank Restaurant Group also operates Bank Birmingham, which opened in 1999 and Bank Westminster, which opened in 2000. Details: www.bankrestaurants.com
