Bannatyne makes GM appointments
Three managers are getting to grips with their new clubs as Bannatyne Fitness makes more appointments.
Matthew Emery becomes general manager of the York club following a successful six years at Bannatyne’s club in Coulby Newham.
Emery launched the facility as general manager in 2001 and built up a membership of more than 2,000.
He moves to York to oversee the club’s integration into Bannatyne’s portfolio following its acquisition from LivingWell last year.
Former fitness manager Chris Felstead replaces Emery in Coulby Newham. He joined the chain in 1998 as a volunteer fitness instructor at the Ingleby Barwick club.
Finally, former RAF fitness instructor Mark Knox takes the reins at the club in Darlington. Knox served for 10 years with the RAF, in the UK and abroad.
After leaving the RAF in 2000, he continued to work in the leisure industry in Hong Kong and London, and most recently worked for a major health club chain in Newcastle.
