Banyan Tree to enter UK spa market
The Banyan Tree Group has revealed its intention enter the UK market.
Under a partnership with TCC Land Co, one of Thailand’s top hotel and real estate owners, the company has secured an agreement to refurbish and operate a boutique hotel in Kensington, west London.
Under the partnership, Banyan Tree will design and run the hotel and spa, but is not required to make any investment. The project is in its early stages and the opening date and exact nature of the development is yet to be decided.
“The UK has always been a key market where we would like to build our business,” said Yvette Tee, assistant director of communications at the Banyan Tree Group.
“Our resorts and spas across the world receive a good percentage of UK guests. Bringing a spa offering to London, therefore, brings us closer to a key target audience.”
