Barnstaple regeneration plans move forward
Plans for improvements to the cultural and leisure facilities currently on offer in Barnstaple town centre have moved forward, according to North Devon Council (NDC).
In addition to an independent study to be undertaken into the leisure and retail needs of the town, NDC is now looking towards the potential marketing of sites for development. A report is due to go before the council's executive next month and if approved, will see the start of a consultation to see what residents want to see provided in Barnstaple.
Meanwhile, NDC confirmed that it is "likely" the independent study will commence during the autumn and will be completed in spring 2012.
